I hope you and your families are doing well and staying healthy. This virus has affected all of us in so many different ways, and we are now starting to face the uncertainty of how our normal may never be like it was. However I do believe we can move on and take advantages to better market our businesses during this Pandemic.

As we limit our exposure and slowly get back out into society, we will continue to see an elevated consistency of online traffic and engagement. This is a change that will stick around for a while and may become the new norm. Which brings me to tell you now is the time to connect with your online followers, increase your online audience reach, and continue to push content to all your online channels so you can stay relevant in this forced digital world.

I’ve been working recently with many businesses to help them optimize their digital strategies and also convert their business sales for online transactions and better online communication.

If you haven’t already adjusted your business approach for online engagement, it’s important to ask yourself these questions:

  • Does your business have a reputable digital presence with an intuitive and easy-to-use website?

  • Is your website and content optimized for search engines when clients are browsing and researching online?

  • Have you implemented online advertising campaigns to pull in buyers searching for your services?

  • Do you have a social media campaign that engages with your potential customers?

And maybe you already have a good online strategy, but today might be the best time to audit your online presence and discover ways to optimize and innovate for continued success. We are now forced to make sure we all have a strong digital marketing strategy, with consistently aligned messaging and customer experiences across channels and platforms.

Here are more common tips to help move your standard business into an online business:

  • You must have in place some kind of e-commerce functionality on your website so customers can order your goods and services directly online.

  • Make sure you offer reliable, inexpensive delivery to your online shoppers.

  • Add functionality to your website so users can easily book virtual appointments, or communicate directly online with virtual chat integration.

  • Offer webinars in place of face-to-face presentations.

  • For B2B businesses, take this time to nurture your leads via email newsletters.

  • Engage in your customers’ channel of preference, if they are reaching out through social media respond to them through social media if their channel preference is email, respect and use that channel.

Establishing that brand-consumer trust is invaluable to the longevity of your business now and long beyond COVID-19. As we all work together to get through this Pandemic, remember to show empathy and be kind, your brand will thrive from this.
